We created MELT with a clear purpose: to build an inclusive space where everyone could feel comfortable exploring movement, strength and mindfulness. Our vision is to foster a strong sense of community while breaking down stereotypes around who pilates and yoga are for — making these powerful practices accessible, inspiring and inviting for every body.

Our studio is infrared heated, warming your body directly rather than just the air around you. This means deeper muscle activation, improved circulation and a more intense detox — all while feeling breathable and natural. It’s not just about working hard — it’s about your body genuinely releasing from the inside out.

Common Questions

BEFORE YOUR FIRST CLASS

How hot is it actually?

The studio is infrared heated to around 35–40°C. Infrared heat warms your body directly rather than just the air, so it feels intense but breathable. Most people adjust within the first few minutes.

What if I can’t keep up?

Every exercise comes with progressions and regressions, so you work at your own level. Our instructors cue both options throughout the class. Take a break whenever you need — child’s pose is always available and nobody will blink.

What should I bring?

Bring a water bottle, a towel for your mat, and wear comfortable workout clothes. We provide mats, blocks, resistance bars, and a cold towel at the end of every class. You will sweat — dress accordingly.

I’ve never done pilates before — is that okay?

Absolutely. A huge number of our members started as complete beginners. All classes are designed for mixed levels, and the instructors are great at making sure you feel supported from your very first session.

What’s the difference between MELT, MOVE, MUSCLE and VINYASA?

MELT is a fusion of strength training and pilates for full-body activation. MOVE blends pilates precision with cardio bursts. MUSCLE is a flow-style mat class focused on strength and endurance through slow, controlled movement. VINYASA is hot yoga connecting breath with flowing postures. All classes are 45 minutes except Sunday Vinyasa which is 60 minutes.

Is it suitable for men?

Yes — and this was a big part of why MELT was created. Co-founder Rhys experienced feeling out of place in studios that leaned heavily feminine, so we built a space that’s genuinely inclusive for everyone. The workouts are challenging regardless of who you are.

How do I book a class?

Download the Momence app and search for “MELT Pilates”, or book directly through our website. We recommend booking in advance as classes do fill up, especially morning and evening sessions.
